Review♥Giveaway: Never Land by Kailin Gow

BB Book Tours

Never Say Never (Never Knights, #1) by Kailin Gow
What girl wouldn't want to be surrounded by the sexy guys from the hottest teen rock sensation in the country? 18-year-old Never "Neve" Knight, not only is surrounded by the hottest boys to hit the music charts, but she is the band's lead singer. As the band's lead singer and manager, Never formed and shaped the band to where it is today, a band on the rise and on the brink of being signed by a label. As one of the guys, she knew each of the band members since they were all snot-nose ten-year-olds. While her boys were the cutest guys and they would protect her like knights, she couldn't date any one of them and ruin the chance at being signed with the record label of her dreams.
That changes when one of the band members suddenly drops out of the band, and in walks Danny Blue, with his dreamy blue eyes, hot body, and British accent. Suddenly, Never's solid world has turned to mush, and her rule for not dating one of her band members is seriously challenged. Can she keep her head straight and get her band signed with a label without losing her heart?

Expected pub: 9/24/2012
Welcome to Never Land, the land of Never and the world of rock, the world of new experiences and sensations, a world where music runs through the veins of the dedicated, and love is taken and given with consequences. Never (Neve) Knight, the lead singer and manager of a band filled with the hottest guys in rock  finally gets the dream that she wanted:  a label signing her band The Never Knights.  It is what she always wanted, a band of her own and playing her own kind of music. Getting her band to where it was came
at a high price, including giving up the man who makes her heart race and her blood pound, the man who caused her to nearly lose her band.   As she gets ready to go on her world tour, fate brings her close to Danny Blue again, and she's not sure if she can give him up a second time even if it means losing the band.

Review:

First off I want to say that I LOVED Never Say Never so I was suuupperrr happy to be on the tour for Never Land! Thank you sooooo much Kailin for providing a copy in exchange for a honest review. And thank you BB Tours for hosting this tour. You guys ROCK my world. ;]

As you can tell above, I loved the first book in this series and Never Land sure didn't disappoint. Once again we were tangled up in Neve's hectic life where she tried to balance her life. Gosh, seriously GUUURRL! Neve's life was hard to live. She really needed some balls gut to be able to survive in her life. My emotions were flaring up like an exploding volcano, phew, stressful! I remember a time in my life where I really struggled to balance everything out, and wow, my, my ,my, that wasn't fun. It involved anger, pain, fear, and everything in between. This book really reminded me of those days. I really don't know how Neve does it. And I think by writing such struggling book Kailin really connected with her readers. I mean who hasn't had a stressful time in their lives? By living Neve's life, Kailin transported the readers into a world where they almost can examine themselves and compare their lives with others. I don't know how crappy other people's lives are but I sure learnt that things could be worst.

Oh, you want me to discuss the hot, British Danny Blue? Okay. Seriously let's be real, I want him as a model in my house: Yes Danny, please just stand here and look gorgeous. I'll just be here typing up my review.
With that said, I didn't know whether Danny was good for Neve. It seemed like Neve + Danny + other band members + Others = HOLY STRESSFUL MAJOR CRAPINESS! Okay, seriously, I don't think I would've survive the situation. I mean there were some serious tense parts that I just felt like the book was sucking the air out of me. *grabs the Oxygen bag beside me* Kailin, you had almost killed me with this book. *reaches up a trembling hand*

Neve, to me, was a true definition of a strong female character. Yes, she was vulnerable but I don't think anyone could had dealt with the situations she was in better. I mean the situations she was in were all realistic enough to make me feel like I am living the good life (which I am) and kind of made me felt bad about it. And sure at times she almost completely gave up but to me that shown strength. To be able to stand up again when you were at your lowest point meant a gigantic amount of effort was put in to lift this weight off. I really admired her for it.

Once again Kailin, you had stolen my heart. For those of you who haven't started on this series, please start now. It is sooooooo good! Trust me, you have time for it. The books are short (which I am actually quite bummed out about since I want more). So no excuses! Give the series a go and rock on!

  1. Great review. This is my favorite of all the series I have read by Kailin. While chatting on twitter the other day she said that there would be another book from Danny Blue's POV, and there would be no holding back, but it would have to be an adult book. I can't wait for that either.

  6. I'm really interested in checking these books out. I don't think I've read much in the New Adult category but I definitely fit the age range for that.
