Top Ten Ways to Support Slide
- Buy Slide! (Remember, if you take a picture of your copy of and email it to me at jillehathaway at gmail, you are entered in the iPod Nano + $25 iTunes card contest! I seriously love seeing pictures of the books in their new homes!)
- Tweet the Slide trailer (or post it on your blog, Facebook, or whatever).
- Tell a friend about the book. If I gave you bookmarks, pass them out to people or give them away on your blog and describe the hook (that a girl slides into a killer standing over a dead body).
- Post the Slide cover and blurb on your Facebook, blog, Pinterest, whatever (see below for images). If you want to go all out, you could change your user icons to the Slide cover for release day, but I realize this isn’t practical for everyone.

The contest will end at midnight on Friday, April 6th, and Jill will send out an email with the winners on April 7th. You will need to respond with your mailing information by April 8th so Jill can get your items in the mail before I go on tour. YES, THIS IS INTERNATIONAL, but if the winner is super far away, Jill will be picking the cheapest mailing option, so it might take a while to get there.

Slide synopsis:
Vee Bell is certain of one irrefutable truth—her sister's friend Sophie didn't kill herself. She was murdered.
Vee knows this because she was there. Everyone believes Vee is narcoleptic, but she doesn't actually fall asleep during these episodes: When she passes out, she slides into somebody else's mind and experiences the world through that person's eyes. She's slid into her sister as she cheated on a math test, into a teacher sneaking a drink before class. She learned the worst about a supposed "friend" when she slid into her during a school dance. But nothing could have prepared Vee for what happens one October night when she slides into the mind of someone holding a bloody knife, standing over Sophie's slashed body.
Vee desperately wishes she could share her secret, but who would believe her? It sounds so crazy that she can't bring herself to tell her best friend, Rollins, let alone the police. Even if she could confide in Rollins, he has been acting distant lately, especially now that she's been spending more time with Zane.
Enmeshed in a terrifying web of secrets, lies, and danger and with no one to turn to, Vee must find a way to unmask the killer before he or she strikes again.
Jill’s bio:Jill Hathaway was born and raised in Iowa. As a child, she loved paper dolls, Archie comics, and writing. In her adolescent years, she wrote emo poetry and produced paper zines that she sold for $1 in local comic book and record stores.
Having earned her BA in English from the University of Northern Iowa and her MA in Literature from Iowa State University, she now teaches high school and community college courses in the Des Moines area. She lives with her husband and young children.
Jill spends her free time collecting cool gear for her blood elf paladin, watching Veronica Mars, and listening to angry grrl music.
