Fashion Friday 19: The Night Circus

Fashion Friday is a weekly meme created by FireStarBooks in order for book lovers to post any fashion related idea or image that they thought would be a great match for books on Friday.

The Night Circus by

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des RĂªves, and it is only open at night.

But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway: a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them both, this is a game in which only one can be left standing. Despite the high stakes, Celia and Marco soon tumble headfirst into love, setting off a domino effect of dangerous consequences, and leaving the lives of everyone, from the performers to the patrons, hanging in the balance.

This week I was inspired by The Night Circus by its uniqueness, and beauty. When I would the amazing Jean Paul Gaultier's Couture Fall 2012 collection, I just knew I had to put it as my Fashion Friday this week. So shall we begin?

The Ringleader of the Ice Garden? ;)
The fiery flames of the circus?
This totally reminded me of the tent where there was all the stair and long jump down...

Just all these clothes reminded me so much of the feeling and the excitement The Night Circus gave me. Some of the clothing, I can't exactly pinpoint where it reminds me in the novel but the general feeling is there.

  1. Holy crap! That first one is to die for and the lady with the golden top hat. Love those outfits so much.

    Kaito Kid much?

  2. I love the gold metal outfit and some of these men look fantastic! They can come to a circus im at anytime lol

    Cool post!
