New Covers for Across the Universe Trilogy
Hi FireStarters, here are the new covers for the Across the Universe Trilogy by Beth Revis. If you had read my review of Across the Universe, you will know that I loved the book. I was a big fan of the hardcover cover for AtU, but not the paperpack or the UK cover. I am not sure how I feel about these covers. The covers seem to appeal more to a male audience but it seems "old". Like my sister said to me, it looks kind of like the old Artemis Fowl book covers. What do you think? Love it? Hate it? Will it appeal to different audience? Are you willing to read the trilogy now if you haven't before?

I don't really like them. If I hadn't read the books already, I wouldn't have picked them up at the store. & they do remind me of the old Artemis Fowl covers.
ReplyDeleteI definitely like the old covers more. these do look old fashioned. I love the stars and blue theme of the hardcovers.
ReplyDeleteAgree! This probably appeal to boys but I think the premise of the books is not attractive to boys so I don't get the point of changing the covers. :( It is a waste of time.
DeleteIt bugs me that they won't release a matching cover of Shades of Earth for the original covers of Across the Universe and Million Suns. Now my covers won't match. D:
ReplyDeleteLol! Yes! That will be a problem! :( The previous covers were so gorgeous!
DeleteDis.gus.ting. Did Beth Revis's cover-muse get lazy and say "well, I couldnt think of anything exciting or sparkly for the third book, so let's redesign all of them and make them simpler"? Nice try, but try try again.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I agree. It doesn't grab my attention as the old covers did. I am disappointed too. :)
