Foreword: I am creating this post in a very limited internet access zone, my house, please excuse any shitty-ness in this post. Thanks.
Okay I know this is late for posting up 2013 reading
challenges but I am going to do it anyway. So this is a manga reading
challenge! Woot! :3 I am currently obsessed with manga. I would love for you
guys to come along with me on this challenge. Last year I read about 100 volumes
of manga in 6 months but I don't think I can make it to that many...what am I
saying? What is there to life if there is no challenge! I will make a goal of
reading 250 volumes of manga in 2013! Haha, let's hope I am not making a
mistake here. Do my public library even have 250 volumes? Whatever, don't think
too much now. What's done is done.
Anyway, I hope you can come along with me on this challenge.
I mean this is my first time "hosting" a challenge so I have no idea
what to do but yeah I just come up with something...
Guidelines
1. Anyone who reads manga can join the challenge. It doesn't matter if you blog or not. :P
2. Physical copies or online manga are all welcome. (Like I said, I don't even know if my public library have 250 volumes of manga).
3. Books written in any language are eligible for the challenge! Read it in Japanese, Chinese, English, jibberish, I don't care. As long as you read it!
4. The challenge will run from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013.
5. The manga doesn't have to be published in 2013! Go back to the roots if you want! Read a childhood favourite!

Hey guys it's Yuki.Y and my goal for this challenge is 500 different titles. (Ashley A.K.A Sachiko picked that out for me)
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge! I'll have to sign up for it after I get back from work. I haven't read much manga in the past few months, but I'm hoping to get to some in 2013.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of joining but I only read 10 volumes this year as I was resisting temptation. I only bought the Sailor Moon/ Sailor V re-releases as I never owned them lol! (I own like 100vols+ of manga generally) I can go overly crazy if I'm not careful. I do read a lot of online manga but that is chapter by chapter so hard to work our how much I've actually read sometimes lol

LOLOLOL. I just knew something like this would happen.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year! :)
This sounds like fun! I think I will join. But I have a question about reviews - first, are they obligatory, and second - can we make a review for a whole series insted of one for every volume?
ReplyDeleteTopcho, reviews are not obligatory :) and sure, you can make review however you like :) by chapters, volumes, series etc.
ReplyDeleteI was searching for a Challenge like this and I want to join!
ReplyDeleteMy goal will be: Reread at least 150 Mangas and read at least 50 new.
That means at least 200 Mangas at all.
I will post it on my blog SchmokSchmok.blogspot.de
as you can see in german. (:
Greets,
SchmokSchmok.
Oops. I ended up stumbling onto your challenge post. Now I think I shall see how much manga I can read in a year. Kthanxbai :)
ReplyDeleteFirst day since signing upto the challenge and 4 managa's down :) (Though it is a weekend so I had more spare time than normal).. :)
ReplyDeleteHolla.. I'm aiming for only 50 manga since half a year has already gone... I actually read lots already this year, but I don't feel like tracking them back. I'm starting from scratch then. :p
ReplyDeleteErm, I have a question.. Does manhwa count?
ReplyDeleteNo worries :D It doesn't have to be THAT exact. Do whatever you feel like :) and enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteYup! :D Manhwa counts. And sure thing. I'll try to do that now.
