Cover♥Trailer Reveal: Stained by Cheryl Rainfield

Book Description:
In this heart-wrenching and suspenseful teen thriller, sixteen-year-old Sarah Meadows longs for "normal." Born with a port-wine stain covering half her face, all her life she’s been plagued by stares, giggles, bullying, and disgust. But when she’s abducted on the way home from school, Sarah is forced to uncover the courage she never knew she had, become a hero rather than a victim, and learn to look beyond her face to find the beauty and strength she has inside. It’s that—or succumb to a killer.

Review: Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion

STELLA REVIEWS...

A zombie who yearns for a better life ends up falling in love—with a human—in this astonishingly original debut novel.

R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead.

Not just another zombie novel, Warm Bodies is funny, scary, and deeply moving.

Review:
Although this book gets 5 stars from me, it is by no means, perfect. Don't go in and think, well Stella gave it 5 stars so I'll love it. Truth is, I didn't love a large portion of this book, but if you value by opinions, then I ask you, please read on.

-Start of review-
Okay, as mentioned above, this book is not perfect. This is a graphic (sinusoidal) representation of how I would have rated this book throughout the novel:

Tamora Pierce meets George R. R. Martin in this smart, political, medieval fantasy-thriller.
There is a new king on the throne of Tildor. Currents of political unrest sweep the country as two warring crime families seek power, angling to exploit the young Crown's inexperience. At the Academy of Tildor, the training ground for elite soldiers, Cadet Renee de Winter struggles to keep up with her male peers. But when her mentor, a notorious commander recalled from active duty to teach at the Academy, is kidnapped to fight in illegal gladiator games, Renee and her best friend Alec find themselves thrust into a world rife with crime, sorting through a maze of political intrigue, and struggling to resolve what they want, what is legal, and what is right.

“A wild, energetic  novel that proves girls CAN be warriors while still being true to themselves.”
—Sarah Dessen, author of The Moon and More

Alex is a YA fantasy author, a Tamora Pierce addict, a horse rider, and paramedic. The latter two tend to hand in hand a bit more often than one would like. Alex started writing at 2 am.

Trailer Tuesday

Book Trailer Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Anastasia @ BirdBrain(ed) Book Blog.

WOW! What a great book trailer! It reminds me of a TV show trailer! I can't wait to read it!

Love the spirals, the sceneries, and music. It was a little cheesy but not bad.

A little newbie. It is a okay trailer, not great.

Love the voice of the narrator (finally a voice I don't hate!). Fabulous! Ahhhhh the music! I think I died a little! <333

I heard many great things about this book but the trailer was a little disappointing. It was way to short :(
Which one was your favourite? What did you like about that particular one? Anyone you disliked?

[Book Trailer] Struck by Jennifer Bosworth

I thought it was a pretty kickass book trailer. Sure the effects weren't the best but considering that it is a book trailer, it was pretty great. :)
